Dietetics

In an ever changing world, it is normal to feel overwhelmed when comparing the diet of someone else to your own. Knowing what you should and shouldn’t be eating is a vital first step in improving your health from the inside out. Dietitian and nutritionist Grace Vu is a big believer in nourishing our insides with simple, fresh and wholesome foods. What really draws her to the scientific field of dietetics is the association between diet and disease, and how food interacts with the human body physically, mentally and emotionally. She is qualified to provide tailored nutrition advice to both adults and infants/children for medical conditions. In her role as a dietitian, she aims to be a mentor and educator on how to lead a healthy lifestyle for the body and mind, which also includes having a positive relationship with food. She currently also works with NSW Health on early prevention projects and initiatives (specifically, the Healthy Children’s Initiative) to educate children and families on nutrition and healthy living.

Her areas of practice are:

  • Weight management

  • Diabetes management (Type 1 & 2 and gestational)

  • Cardiovascular disease (high cholesterol/blood pressure)

  • Gastrointestinal issues (e.g. IBS, IBD, FODMAPs, Coeliac Disease, Diverticular Disease)

  • Allergies/intolerances (e.g. lactose or gluten)

  • Pre and post pregnancy

  • Paediatrics (e.g. childhood obesity, fussy eating, malnutrition, feeding development)

  • General health and nutrition
